Easter Egg Hunt, 2022

Blog image-1

Saturday, April 16, we hosted an Easter Egg Hunt here at NMC. It included a photo booth, crafts, snacks, and the Easter Story. Ages pre-k through 5th grade from the church and the community were invited to come and enjoy all the activities and hunt for some treat-filled Easter eggs. Several families from the community came to join in the fun.

The photo booth included props to have fun and pose with, like bunny ears or spring flowers. There were two different kinds of crafts for the kids to make and take with them. There was also a table where they could make cards for the Caitlin’s Smiles organization. Caitlin’s Smiles is a nonprofit organization that supplies cards and crafts to children who are in hospitals.

Before the egg hunt, Dave Leaman and Conner Harple told the kids the story of Easter using Resurrection Eggs. Resurrection Eggs are plastic Easter eggs filled with different items that represent all the elements of the Easter Story. Kids from the audience were able to participate by opening different eggs for Dave and Conner.

After the story of Easter, the kids were separated into two different age groups for the Easter Egg Hunt. The younger group’s age range was up to kindergarten and the older age group was Kindergarten through 5th grade. Then they were directed to different areas to hunt for eggs.

The eggs were filled with candy, bracelets, sticky toys, and stickers. The kids all seemed to love looking for the eggs and they couldn’t wait to see what was inside. It was a great event and hopefully, all the kids are looking forward to coming again!
