Serving Our Neighbors - Arbor Place

A huge ‘thank you’ to those who assisted in providing the meal and foot washing presentation at Arbor Place in Lancaster on April 6th. We prepared and packed the meals in our new kitchen, then transported them to Arbor Place where we served about 65 youth.
Following the meal, a presentation on communion and the practice of foot-washing was done by Rick and Marcy High.
For those who are not familiar with Arbor Place, it was started in 1984 by a Mennonite pastor and his wife as a faith-based after-school program for youth in Lancaster City. Over the years the center has developed intentional programs for youth development, preparing them for adulthood. This past year they have started a mentoring program to help youth find a pathway to their working future.
