Both of Nation's books, Bonhoeffer the Assassin?: Challenging The Myth, Recovering His Call To Peacemaking ($5), and the newest book, Discipleship in a World Full of Nazis: Recovering the True Legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer ($20) will be available for purchase.

Brief Biography (of Mark Thiessen Nation)
Nation was a typical patriotic son of a WWII veteran, until becoming a Baptist conscientious objector in 1971. Years later he would become a Neo-Anabaptist and then a Mennonite. Recently retired from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, he has done many ministries and written two books on Bonhoeffer (one new this year). Married to Mary, Nation has two adult children and four grandchildren.

Synopsis of Presentation
Title: Discipleship in a World Full of Nazis: Recovering the True Legacy of Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Discipleship: more than the title of his 1937 book, this word announced the spiritual and theological foundation for Christian faithfulness and resistance Bonhoeffer believed was needed in Nazi Germany. The centrality of Jesus led him to speak out on behalf of Jews, argue against war, form a “new monastic” community, and resist killing as a soldier—even as he associated with conspirators and sought to broker a peace agreement with the Allied forces.
